Simple Revolution

Bringing clarity to the clarity experts

Simple Revolution is a heavyweight brand communications agency with an international footprint and a team based in Copenhagen, Berlin, and London. The founders work with global giants in pharma, engineering, healthcare, and financial services to distil complex ideas into crystal-clear and compelling narratives.

The problem? Their own brand was starting to get left behind.

The website no longer reflected their vision, the visual identity lacked clarity, and the overall presentation didn’t reflect the calibre of the work the founders were carrying out for internationally recognised clients. Working closely with North East-based KLW Marketing Consultancy, our task was to work with fellow marketer and owner Kathryn Wharton, and the Simple Revolution founders based in the UK and Denmark, to move the brand forward.

As this was a project that required varying skills and expertise, we brought together a team consisting of our marketing director, branding expert, project manager, web developer, web designer, and graphic designers to ensure we were delivering against the brief, and keeping the project on plan.

A brand in need of a brand-new look

Simple Revolution have an impressive global reputation, but their digital presence was beginning to tell a different story. Built on an ageing WordPress framework, the site was visually flat and structurally confusing. The homepage had become case studies, showing an impressive depth of ability, but without any introduction. Their key USP – Define, Report, and Talk – was solid, but beginning to get lost in the noise.

Beyond the website, the founders needed their new brand direction applied across a range of presentation decks and marketing collateral – the everyday touchpoints through which a professional services agency builds credibility.

Four words to rule them all

Simple Revolution believes that ‘strong brands are built on a single, compelling story’.

Using the positioning statement supplied by KLW Marketing, ‘Tell one story, everywhere’, the visual identity was rebuilt around the core themes of clarity and confidence.

  • The palette: The yellow logotype and flat grey of the existing brand were replaced with a cleaner, more considered visual system. A restrained palette of near-black and white, set against soft gradient backgrounds, provides the foundation, letting content lead rather than compete with it.
  • The type: We paired a confident, classical serif for headlines (the authority) with a clean, modern sans-serif for body copy (the clarity).
  • The structure: The gradient backgrounds, present throughout the site, quietly echo the same three-part logic, grounding the visual language in the agency’s core thinking rather than applying decoration for its own sake.

The result is a brand that reflects the scale of the businesses the founders work with and builds confidence with future global clients.

Restructured from the ground up

The website required a complete bespoke rebuild. The previous structure had grown organically, and conventional navigation labelling no longer directed visitors towards

The revised structure was shaped around Simple Revolution’s three core service pillars, Define, Report, and Talk, which were clearly established within the brief. By bringing these to the forefront of the homepage, the proposition became immediately clear, helping visitors quickly understand both the offering and the audience it serves.

Working from a strong strategic foundation, we translated this into a homepage experience where each section has a defined role: introducing the proposition, outlining services, showcasing work, sharing insight, and encouraging conversation. This ensures a natural, intuitive journey for users while reinforcing key messages at every stage.

The visual direction, including the move towards more candid, editorial-style photography, was also guided by Simple Revolution and KLW Marketing’s vision. Our role was to implement this in a way that felt cohesive and elevated, supporting the agency’s expert positioning and bringing their globally recognised capabilities to life through considered design and layout.

The closing section of each page now sets the tone for every client interaction: “Every project begins with clarity. Every success begins with a conversation”. It’s a natural, low-pressure call to action that still communicates exactly what working with Simple Revolution feels like.

Beyond the browser

Any brand is only as effective as its application. As this agency spends much of its time in client presentations and pitches, we didn’t stop at the website.

We carried the new look and feel into a suite of presentation and marketing collateral templates, ensuring that Simple Revolution’s refreshed identity is consistent at every touchpoint. The typographic system, colour palette and visual language developed for the website translate directly into print and screen formats.

This gives the team a coherent, professional toolkit they can use from day one, whether they’re sending a PDF in the UK or standing in a boardroom in Berlin, the team has a professional toolkit that is consistent, coherent, and, most importantly, simple.

The result: clarity achieved

Simple Revolution now has a brand that communicates one clear thing, consistently, and across every channel.

The new site doesn’t just look better; it performs, and positions Simple Revolution as the high-level specialists they are.

Deliverables of this scale require more than just creative talent; they require a truly global approach. With Simple Revolution’s footprint extending across Copenhagen, Berlin, and London, we built a meaningful relationship via Teams consultations to bridge the geographical gap. We were thrilled to be part of this project delivering high-level strategy and seamless execution for the teams, based in Newcastle, London and Denmark.
